Privacy policy

This page explains what The Grill Station collects when you use this site, why, and what your rights are. The short version: we collect what an order needs and nothing more, we never sell your data, and your card details never touch our systems.

What we collect and why

  • To deliver your order: your name, phone number, delivery address and postcode, delivery notes, and what you ordered. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • Payment: handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number never reaches our servers; we see only that a payment succeeded and its reference. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the card data it processes.
  • If you create an account: your login details and order history, so reordering is quick. An account is optional and guest checkout is always available.

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in when you have an account, and your browser's local storage to remember your basket and delivery address between visits. That data stays on your device. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Who we share data with

Only the services that make the order work: Stripe (payment) and our delivery operation. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax law requires (six years in the UK). Everything else is kept until you delete your account.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Account → Security. It permanently removes your account, saved addresses, passkeys and saved payment methods. Your past orders stay in our books as anonymous sales records — those are the invoices tax law requires us to keep — but they are no longer linked to you, and the account cannot be signed into again.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to the records we must keep by law). Contact us and we will act on it within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
